On the 26th and the 28th of May, the online Blitz Tournament SILKWAY CUP will be held on playchess.com.
Top Georgian and Azerbaijani chess players will participate in this tournament. The General Sponsor of the tournament is “Socar”. It is dedicated to Independence Days of Georgia and Azerbaijan.
The games will start at 15:00 pm on the 26 of May and at 18:00 pm on the 28th of May. In regard to time control it looks as follows: three minutes with addition of two seconds. Total number of chess players refers to 54, out of which 27 are Georgians and 27 are Azerbaijanis. It is noteworthy that from Batumi Nino Batsiashvili and Salome Melia are invited to participate in the tournament.
